I’ve started reading a book which is rapidly dominating every moment of waking thought. It’s called Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less. In a nutshell:
Stop saying yes to 99.99% of things you agree to
Be judicious about what you say yes to, but go all in
Design guardrails that insulate you from pointless/low-value work
My plan to work out (86 that)
This morning, after dropping off Charlotte, I took 96th street to cut through Central Park, then headed down the west side highway so I could find a 2 hour parking spot somewhere not too far from Chelsea Piers for a morning workout. After twenty minutes of circling around and around from Bethune to 14th street, not finding any parking, I came back home.
